Get whiter teeth with professional teeth whitening

Updated: Mar 22, 2021

Do you have dull or stained teeth that are an embarrassment every time you smile? You’re not alone, as teeth discoloration is something common among people of all ages.

The good news is that at Smiletheory, we offer several whitening options suited for your needs.

How do teeth stain?

The most common cause of teeth staining is excessive consumption of colored foods. People who drink a lot of tea, coffee, and carbonated drinks and eat colored foods (either naturally or artificially colored) tend to experience more severe staining than those who don’t. This is because the microscopic particles are left behind on the teeth as they get caught in the porous enamel surface of the teeth.

Another important cause of teeth discoloration is improper brushing techniques. Even though you brush and floss twice a day, a lot of bacteria tend to get left behind on the teeth where the bristles of the toothbrush don’t reach, especially on the biting surfaces of back teeth and the tongue side of front teeth. The bacterial growth promotes teeth staining and leaves a yellowish layer on them. Sometimes, the side effects of the medication include discoloring of teeth.

What are your whitening options?

Do you have an important meeting coming up in a week or two? Or perhaps prom? Or maybe your best friend’s wedding? Whatever the occasion is, getting whiter teeth will boost your confidence and make you feel more comfortable while socializing. Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a smile that everyone compliments you on? Here is how you can get one:

Professional in-office teeth whitening

In-office teeth whitening is the simplest and most economical option. We’re proud to be certified Kor whitening providers. We screen your teeth to check for signs of cavities, gum recession, and restorations that could affect the whitening procedure.  The whitening gel containing hydremide peroxide will be applied on the teeth, spread evenly and allowed to stay on them for a certain duration. During this, the hydremide peroxide liberates oxygen molecules that penetrate the deeper layers of the teeth and help to remove the stains. The procedure may be repeated depending on the degree of whitening you prefer.

Take-home whitening trays

This method of whitening involves the use of custom teeth-whitening trays. We take molds of your teeth and use the same to fabricate customized trays made from high-quality plastic. You can take the trays and the whitening gel home (prescribed by Dr. Singh) and use them at your comfort. The trays prevent the intervention of saliva with the whitening gel, allowing you to get whiter teeth that stay for a long time.

Maintenance gels

Maybe you’ve whitened your teeth in the past and have trays at home. We also have maintenance gels available for you to upkeep your whitening at your own convenience.
